Artist Statement.
It is the quiet nature of Northern Michigan that inspires so many to leave their fast pace blues behind and head "up North" to find that sate of calm in which brings them back to their center. It is that state of calm that I'm continually challenged to capture. I observe seagulls examining their reflections and playfully soaring in the wind, horses grazing in their pastures, outdoor enthusiasts canoeing down the Jordan River early in the morning, and architectural landmarks that take me to another place in time.
