Norwood Township has cited Cycling Salamander for being in violation of our Special Use Permit (granted in 2001). According to the Township, the permit which we paid for does NOT allow us to offer art classes on the property nor display ANY artwork outside the confines of the gallery building. This includes artwork displayed in the secluded courtyard and screened back yard (6 acres) Soon, we will have to go before the planning commission and ask for an addendum to the permit. If you enjoy visiting Cycling Salamander, we ask you to write a letter in support of the display of outdoor sculpture and art classes at the gallery. Email your letters to me or or directly to Jonathan Scheel, the zoning administrator: email@example.com. Please cc me if you do.
Thank you for your help! (image above: Sculpture by John Mishler)
